Keep caffeine and alcohol to a minimum.

But then again these appliances are quite good tools to help divert us from anxious thoughts. The way to get off the hook is to read a book, a novel will preoccupy your thoughts, and may the steady rhythm of the reading put you to sleep.
Write down your frets
